About us
Empowering Native American Communities with Culturally Sensitive Mental Health Care
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Native Americans had the highest rate of drug overdose deaths involving opioids in 2020, with a rate of 29.7 deaths per 100,000 population.
This is nearly twice the rate for the U.S. population overall.
Additionally, the CDC reported that alcohol was a factor in a significant portion of these overdose deaths, highlighting the need for effective substance abuse treatment programs for Native American communities.
Our mission
At NADARI, our mission is to empower and enhance the well-being of Native American communities through accessible and culturally sensitive mental health and addiction treatment. We strive to provide a safe and supportive environment where individuals can heal from the effects of historical trauma and overcome their challenges to achieve long-term sobriety and wellness. With a commitment to affordability and excellence, NADARI is dedicated to promoting a brighter future for all Native Americans.
Our story
NADARI has been operating since early 2017. We originally began as a Native American culturally congruent training program that partners with licensed, accredited, and exceptionally client-focused, clinically-driven programs in Southern California to assist them and their staff in navigating the clinical nuances of working with the NA/AN community.
Since then, our mission has expanded to provide Native American/Alaskan Natives seeking mental health and or substance abuse treatment with ethical, long-term, culturally appropriate treatment that fits their individual needs.
